Avocado & Coconut Milk Deep Conditioner

This is a recipe that a lot of people have tried and rave about. It’s very simple to make and all the ingredients are cheap and readily available at your local grocery store or walmart. This concoction should make your hair feel nice and soft. The measurements are a guideline, so you you can tweak it if you’d like:

  • 1 medium avocado
  • 1/2 cup of coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp of honey

Blend the ingredients in a blender or food processor until creamy. Then apply it to the hair and put on a plastic cap and head scarf or hat for extra heat. Leave it on for 30 mins or more then rinse and cowash or shampoo if you prefer.

Aloe Vera Leave-in Conditioner

I found this recipe on http://blackgirllonghair.com, however it’s a recipe that I’ve used numerous times without using measurements.  This recipe is great for moisture, detangling and itchy scalp. Aloe Vera has a PH of 4.5 so it helps to smooth the hair shaft by laying the hair’s cuticles flat to avoid friction and tangles.

  • 4 oz of distilled water
  • 4 oz of aloe vera gel
  • 1 tsp of vegetable glycerin (optional)
  • essential oil of choice (10 drops of lavender)

Using a funnel, add all the ingredients to a spray bottle and shake…and that’s it lol. Easy Breezy 😉
